Take me out to the ballgame...

Sunday morning David and I woke up and decided to drive to Statesboro, GA to enjoy a GA Southern baseball game...I love being spontaneous!!! I cannot get enough baseball this time of year! I was so excited for the little kids to get the experience...Hailey loved dancing when the music came on while baby Dave was all about the baseballs and the food. I really enjoyed having Clay there who actually understands and enjoys the game. We all had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back!

What a beautiful Saturday!

I absolutely love these warm days in the middle of winter! David planned a half time event for Mercer University's basketball game on Saturday and they had an outdoor catered lunch for the families before the game complete with blowup slides, music and a clown. After the basketball game we decided that it was too beautiful to be indoors so we headed to the park for some more fun.

Snow Day in Georgia!

It FINALLY snowed in Macon...YEA!!! There is nothing more beautiful then seeing everything outside covered with a blanket of snow. Unfortunately for our family we had a terrible stomach bug making its way around everyone in the house so Kristen was the only one who was able to enjoy it while it was actually snowing. The rest of us weren't able to make it outside until the second day as the snow was starting to melt but we had an absolute blast throwing snowballs, building snowmen and sledding down our hill. I already miss the snow and can't wait for the next snowfall in Georgia!

Let the Games Begin...

A few weekends ago we took the four youngest kids to Dave and Busters and had a BLAST! I didn't get to take many pics while chasing the little ones around but I just had to post the adorable pic of Clay and Kris. I have really enjoyed watching these two bond over the last several years and I'm thankful for all the smiles that these two silly ones put on my face.

Baby Dave bumps his head

Today we took our first trip to the emergency room with Baby Dave. We were just finishing up at the dentist office with Clay and Kristen when I turned around to tell Baby Dave it was time to go. He took off running and giggling as most 13 month olds do when they realize you're trying to get them. He tripped on the carpet and hit the middle of his forehead right on a corner of a wall. I do not handle blood very well especially when it's my child so I immediately went into panic mode. Thank the Lord for a wonderful Dentist and staff who helped me to press the wound together and bandage it enough to stop the bleeding so we could drive to the emergency room. After waiting 30 minutes to see a doctor, a set of x-rays, a huge numbing needle and 6 stitches I was still able to get this precious smile from my little boy. He was such a trooper through it all and has already been looking for the next thing to get into or fall off of.

And no, we don't normally go around shirtless in January. It was 66 degrees here today and after screaming under the bright surgical light for 15 minutes we had to lose the shirt.
